ADMISSION CRITERIA

A child should be less than 18 years to join a grade 11 class. If a child exceeds the required age for a particular grade he / she may be denied admission. The Birth Certificate issued by the Registrar General’s Department of Sri Lanka is the only document the school accepts to confirm the age of the child.

    Our staff will contact you and guide you on the entire process of admission and answer all your queries. They will then put you on the waiting list and schedule an interview in person or online.

    INTERVIEW

    We assess your child through a personal interview with the teachers. Once successful you will be guided to the next step.

    SUBMIT THE ADMISSION FORM

    The next step is to submit all the relevant documents and a duly signed admission form disclosing all facts concerning the child, within a prescribed time period.

    PAY THE FEES

    You confirm admission by paying the requisite fee

    Admissions to all Grades are available at anytime during the year as long as vacancies are available and will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.

    The placement of the child is based on a number of factors including the age, previous school records, and the child’s ability to follow the work in a particular grade.

    We follow a strict policy of non-discrimination and students from all cultures and religious backgrounds are encouraged to enroll and thrive in a secure and inclusive environment.

    Al- Barakha International School follows the London Examination Academic Year and therefore the First Term begins in September.

    • 1st Term – September, October, November and December.
    • 2nd Term – January, February, March and April.
    • 3rd Term – May, June, July and August

  • If the child is selected for admission it is mandatory that the parents should abide by all the rules and regulations of the school.
