We are the only school in the entire Uva province to offer an entirely English based curriculum and offer London O ’Levels and A ‘Levels through EDEXCEL in addition to the local syllabus in English medium.

We provide the latest and most up to date facilities for ICT-Computer education with a fully equipped Computer Lab plus one of the most advanced Multi-Media Units in the region with 3-D viewing capabilities.

A well-appointed and equipped Library is something the school boasts and all reading requirements for students of all ages are available, be it academic or leisure.

Sports and Physical well-being, being one of our priorities we provide opportunities for Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom, draughts and Tennis as Indoor sports and Cricket, Netball, Volleyball, Basketball and Soccer as Outdoor sports activities. Self-Defense is also an important aspect of the school’s Physical Fitness regime.

Archimedes International School has a rich heritage of sporting success. On the sport field alone we participate in over ten different competitive sports. The concept of inclusivity in sports is endorsed at AIS where pupils of all ability levels have the chance to both participate and compete whilst utilizing the phenomenal sport facilities available to every pupil.

The school has produced Champions and Finalists regularly at the Uva Province open ranking Table Tennis Championships since 2016.

The location of our school paves the way the students to easily access the Bandarawela Esplanade to engage in their athletic practices, which we consider as an advantage.

Extra curricular activities include Eastern and western Music and dance, Scouting, Elocution lessons, The School Band, Debate Society, English Literary Association, Chess Circle, Agriculture Club, Photography, School Media Unit, Reading Circle, Fitness Club and many more.

Archimedes International consists of 35 academic staff members, all highly qualified individuals who are Graduates, Trained teachers and Montessori Diploma Holders, some with over 50 years of teaching experience which help us maintain a very high standard in the delivery of our curriculum.
